About us

We are a neighbourhood bar serving excellent wines, beers, baps and co., within the Victorian stone arches of Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross.

To drink, we serve a considered list of some of our favourite wines, as well as our preferred pints of Guinness, Estrella Galicia, and a revolving IPA on tap. There’s also a short selection of cocktails and spirits.

Our food menu is the things we like to eat with a drink, centred around meat, fish or veggie hot baps, roast potatoes, cheese and Happy Endings ice cream sandwiches. You can also count on Seabrooks, Scampi Fries and Twiglets.

You can sit or stand inside, below the atmospheric arches, or under the festoon lighting of our terrace. Walk-in only.

The Drop is available for private hire, and adaptable according to the event. For private hire enquiries please email info@thedropwinebar.co.uk.

The Drop is from Harts Group, the team behind Barrafina, Quo Vadis, El Pastor, Parrillan and Bar Daskal. It was born of a love of good wine, excellent service and easy company.

Two Drops

We now have a sister bar (Two Drops) by the iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station. Expect more cocktails, wine, plenty of beer, and cheese toasties.
